The midnight gang is a book about a boy named Tom. His parents are rich and work along way from where Tom boards which is a expensive boarding school. One day Tom was playing cricket and he got hit in the head with a cricket ball. He went  to hospital and made his best friends ever. 

From then on his adventures begin.

focused on goal setting. We had to set goals based on our PAT test.

Athletics

This week was the day that we have athletics. This year the whole school went down to Anzac park. The first event was 1000 meters. I came 5th but I felt that I could go a lot longer. My favorite event was discus or long jump in discus I through it quite far and in long jump I came 3rd equal with a friend of mine.

This term for topic we are working on water safety. One of the activities was to read sentences about water safety in Maori but underneath it told you what it meant. Here is my work.

My friend Percy's magical gym shoes

Percy's magical gym shoes is a book about a boy that is called Ulf. One day for PE He meats a boy named Percy who is good at walking on the beam.  One day Percy tells him that it was his shoes that make him goo at walking on the beam. He then sells them to Ulf for a go-cart, CD, Magazines and some other stuff. When Ulf gets the shoes he suddenly starts being naughty. One day he trows something at someones car and gets in trouble but his mum doesn't think it was him. One day he felt like being a hero so he lights a fire and chucks his shoes in and then he calls the fire brigade.

Term 3 Week 2 reflection

Olympics 

This week we have been focusing on the Olympics. We have been looking up places that we have never heard of before and writing some facts down about them. We have also been finding some people from NZ going to Rio to compete in the Olympics. I found doing this work quite fun because you could find out about new people and country's that you haven't heard about. I liked finding out about the rugby sevens team. I learn't that Cuba is an Island south of north America.

Refletion

Numeracy

This week for numeracy we have been focusing on teaching fractions. I have not enjoyed teaching fractions, and I am not good at teaching.

Topic 

We are working on finding places and finding some things about them. I like doing this for topic because you get to find places on the map.

Term 2 reflection

Numeracy

This term for Numeracy we focused on working with decimals. We were doing decimals on study ladder and khan academy I found khan academy quite hard.At the end of the term we were planning a trip with a buddy, my buddy and i chose to go to Argentina. I really like doing financial literacy the most.  

Literacy

This term for reading we were focusing on reading punctuation, we focused on how punctuation can change a sentence. This term for writing my group worked on making our paragraphs all about the same subject and we also tried to make our writing sound better by adding some key words.

Prep

This term for prep I handed in a CV to be in the bank I got an email back saying that I was in. My job was to keep track of how much money the people in room 14 have. After that i come and sort out the money. We get payed 8 kawa a day and if you finish early and help out you get payed exsta. When it was time to buy things I had 99 banqer dollars.

Goals

My goals for next term. My numeracy goal is to be in the highest maths group. My reading goal for next term is to be able to read punctuation well. My writing goal is to use paragraphs well.

My sisters hockey team was short on players so i volunteered to play for them. I have scored a goal even though I play fullback. Last week I got the player of the day. I do not like fullback but I can't quit because they are short players.

Sailing boat down the stream

In the week me and my family made some boat to go down the stream. The goal was to make a boat that didn't sink, made out of card board. Mine sank because I pushed it under with a stick. My Dad made a cool one it was a catamaran. Next time we mite make one out of wood.

Matariki Main Star

What is matariki

Matariki is the Maori name for cluster of stars, when the 7 stars named the 7 sisters start twinkling is signals the Maori new year. It use to be a time when people remembered those that had died but now people celebrate it in lots of different ways. My family doesn't really celebrate matariki but sometimes on matariki we might have fireworks.

Gangster granny

Gangster granny 

Gangster granny is a book about a boy who goes to his granny's house every Friday because his parent are absest with  dancing. He doesn't enjoy going to his granny's house because she is boring. But one day his granny finds out that he found her boring so the granny tells lies about being a professional jule thief  to make him like going to her house. The boy loves pluming and together they make a plan to steal the crown Jules.

Gangster granny is quite sad at the end because the Granny dies.

I think gangster granny is quite funny at times. 

Week 8 reflection

Master mind

Mastermind is a two player game that involves a code maker and a code breaker. There are 6 different coloured pegs that the code maker can choose from to make a code. When the code maker has made the hidden code, the code breaker guesses. Each time a guess is made the code maker marks it. There are two little pegs used. One means you have right colour in the right place and the other means you have the right colour but in the wrong place. Each mark will give the code breaker information helping to solve the code.

Mastermind is a game that requires a lot of concentration and logic.

Settlers of Catan

Settlers of Catan is a tile game that you also use dice with. It is also a game that can change because you can change the way you set it up. In settlers of Catan you have resources that you trade and you also place little houses and roads when you have the rite resources. There are 5 different resources Lumber, Sheep, Oar, brick, wheat and there is a gold mine that when ever you role the number that is on the goldmine you get to choose any resource. Each person has there own colour that contains city's, roads, boats, and houses. If someone roles a 7 you can rob someone with the robber
when you rob someone you get to steal one of
 there cards.


This is one of my favorite games because you
can trade cards and there are resources.

All blacks

All blacks surge past Wales

The All blacks have begun there season with a win. They played Wales in Auckland. At half time Wales were winning 18 15 with two tries. After half time the All blacks scored 3 tries threw Waisake Naholo, Kieran Read and Nathan Harris. The final score was 39 21. The next game against Wales is in Wellington on the  18th of the 6 2016. I enjoyed watching the game it was very close but the All blacks were too much to handle.
