Descriptive writing
I arrive at the field 1 hour early. I see the early morning sunrise peeking through tower like trees, and the frost layered thickly on the ground like jam on toast. I am numb due to the frost but the rise of the sun is compensating just a bit to keep me from freezing. I hear the frost crackling as it is busily settling on the ground and starting its short life before it melts away. I am trying to take in what it smells like but the cold air does not let me breathe. I find myself spending my whole pre-game warm up blowing on my fingers in hope that they alone will warm up.
The whistle blows signalling the captain's toss. I rush over, tails it is.
Once the game gets underway I forget the frost’s bitter grasp on my body.
After the game the frost has disappeared and the sun has taken control of the day.
Just another average day in the week.
Maths work
This week for numeracy one of our tasks was to fill in a slide about finding percentages of an amount. I liked doing it because it was challenging.

Boom
Boom
Boom is a book about a boy named James and a boy named Charlie. They are best friends and go to the same school. One day after school they put a recorder in the staff room because James sister had been angry at him and told him that they were going to send him to a military camp. They heard nothing about being expelled but at the end they heard that two of James teacher were talking a different language. They immediately were interested and wanted to find out more.
Find out what happened to James and Charlie as they find out the secret of their teachers.

This week for our numeracy we did a tally chart with a buddy, my buddies were Oliver, Callum and Kaleb. We chose to do it about Mamaku's favourite super rugby team. In the end the favourite team was the Hurricanes. For literacy we did a list of 10 things. My list was about my favorite ten rugby players. My favourite rugby player is Beauden Barrett. In class our teacher is reading holes we did an activity where we had to set the seen by drawing it.

Term 3 Week 2 reflection
Olympics
This week we have been focusing on the Olympics. We have been looking up places that we have never heard of before and writing some facts down about them. We have also been finding some people from NZ going to Rio to compete in the Olympics. I found doing this work quite fun because you could find out about new people and country's that you haven't heard about. I liked finding out about the rugby sevens team. I learn't that Cuba is an Island south of north America.
Here are some of my places that I researched

We have been reading Charlotte's web for one of the activities we had to say what spiders do where they live and what they eat.
This is what I wrote.
Food
Most spiders eat flies they catch them in webs. Some spider eat bugs and insects as well. People like daddy long legs because they eat other spiders around the house.
Habitat
Spiders live in lots of different places Around the world. They like places with lots of food and hardly any predators. Some spiders like a cold climate and some like a warm climate.
Appearance
Spiders have eight legs. Spiders can have up to twelve eyes.
Some spiders are very hairy. Spider can be lots of different colours or sizes but most are brown.
We had to right about Mr Zuckerman's barn
The barn was as big as a Elephant and as tall as a giraffe. As I came in the barn geese screeched at me and told me to get out. The Cows were giants. The windows were still staring at me. I quickly got out the barn it stank like poo.
