Double down is one of the diary of a wimpy kid series. It is a good book. The main characters are Gregg, Rowley, Greg's mum, dad and brothers.
My favorite part in the book is when he get lots of candy but his pig eats it all and the pig gets sick and he gets told of. I recommend it to people that like reading books with funny thing in it. 

Beginners guide to rugby

The beginners guide to rugby is written by All Blacks and Chiefs player named Aaron Cruden. His position is a first five. I like the beginners guide to rugby because  he gives you some tips about Kicking, tackling and passing. One of his tips is to hold the ball and lower it for a drop kick. I recommend it to people that are into rugby or even better play rugby and there position is first five.

Billionaire Boy

Billionaire boy is about a fat boy named Joe Spud. His dad became rich when he invented bum fresh toilet paper. Joe was sent to a private school with some other rich children but the other boys and girls teased Joe because that his Dad was called the bum fresh billionaire. One day Joe decided that he wanted to go to a normal school with normal people. So Joe went to a new school and made a friend named bob.

Teacher trouble

Teacher trouble is a book about a girl that is tall. She has to go to a new school and she gets two choices one is pond street school and the other is street pond school. She arrives at her new school but the principal mistakes her as a teach and makes her teach a class. She is scared so she doesn't leave. At the end of the day she gets in trouble with the principal for doing things wrong and disobeying there rules. But the children that she teaches  like her and think she is a good teacher. When she comes home she finds out that she went to the wrong school.

Charlie and the chocolate factory is about a boy named Charlie who lives with two sets of grand parents and his mum and his dad. He is very poor and finds it hard to get food. One day in the gutter he found a coin and the first thing that came to mind was to ge chocolate. So he bought to bars of chocolate and one had the last golden ticket in side. From that moment on his life changed there was no longer that empty feeling in his a tummy.

Richie McCaw 148

The Richie McCaw book is a rugby based book about his tests that he played. He played 148 tests for NZ and he captained 110 of them. Both of them are rugby records. In the book it sometimes has one of his quotes from the game like "the world cup is just around the corner that is to remain my focus." I like that book because my favorite sport is rugby and because I like hearing what it's like to be in the All Blacks. I recommend this to people that are in To rugby or people that want to know a bit about Richie McCaw's career.

The magic finger

The magic finger is a short book written by Roald Dahl illustrated by William Pene du Bois. The magic finger is about a family that goes hunting for dear and ducks. They have a neighbor that hates seeing dead animals and who also has a magic finger. One day the family comes home with ten dead ducks. The neighbor gets very upset by that and she points the magic finger when she points it the family turns in to ducks and tree ducks walk into the house. I found this quite a funny book because the family had to make a nest and tree ducks walked into the house.

The Dancing Bear

The author of the dancing Bear is Michael Morpurgo and was illustrated by Christian Birmingham. This book is a book about a girl that finds a Bear cub at a stream near her house. She takes it home to her grandad and she manages to make the bear tame and keep her. When she is older the Bear starts to get visitors from all over the world to see the tame bear and then this singer comes there to have the bear as the thing on the video. But the singer needs to have the the Bear dancing but the only person that can make the Bear sing is the girl so he needs to sing with her. At the end the girl decides to leave with the singer. Just when she leaves the bear dies. 

Dertie Bertie flees

Dirty Bertie flees is a book about a boy named Bertie but since he is a Dirty boy people call him Dirty Bertie. Bertie has a dog that he likes but one day Bertie get's itchy and his Mum realizes that he has got flees from there dog. Bertie then has to go the vet to get the dogs flees eradicated. Things didn't really go as planned.

I recomend Dirty Bertie to people that like reading discusting things. This book is also quite easy to read.

Matilda

Matilda is a is a book about a girl named Matilda. She is very smart but her parents are mean. When she goes to school she meets her teacher called Miss Honey. Miss Honey is a nice teacher but the principle isn't nice at all in fact she is the opposite of nice. Miss Honey realizes that Matilda is a genius and she tells the principel to move her to a higher class but the principel hates small children and she thought that she was trying to get rid of Matilda. One day when Miss Trunch Ball (the principel) was teaching Matilda's class Matilda got blamed for something she didn't do and she got angry then suddenly a cup tiped over with no one near it. After that Matilda realized that she had super powers and her and Miss Honey found a way to kick the principell out of the school.
