Today we looked at the differences and similarities between Trapezium, Parallelogram, Rhombus and Quadrilateral. Here is what I found out.

For maths this week we were doing work around fractions. Here is my work.

This week we did long multiplication this is a couple of the questions and answers I found them quite easy.

This week for the first ten minutes of numeracy we have done prototec maths. I tried stage seven and eight. I got 70 percent. Here are my stage 7 results.

This week for literacy we focused on using long multiplication to complete easy equations.  I chose to do some slightly harder ones like these. 

For numeracy this week we also 
focused on goal setting. We had to set goals based on our PAT test.

For numeracy we got to choose an activity. I chose code cracker. Code crack is an activity to try to find a word that equals 100. It was hard see if you can do it.

This week for numeracy we did a Christmas activity and study ladder. For the Christmas activities it was coordinates. I enjoyed doing the Christmas coordinates because at the end it looked like a reindeer.  We also did Christmas jokes.

This week for Numeracy we have been working on our position and orientation activities. Here is one of my groups activities.

Numeracy Reflection

This week for numeracy we have been focusing on position and orientation. My favorite activity was drawing a compass with 16 points.  I found drawing it very hard because you had to draw lots of lines.

This week we have been trying to write a news paper article on the part of Charlotte's web when lurvy discovers a web with words. It was pretty hard to make it sound like a news paper article.

Early yesterday morning on a very frosty morning a miracle occurred just outside of town in Mr Zuckerman's barn.

It happened when Lurvy (Mr Zuckerman's worker) came into the barn with the slops but in the corner of the barn there was a glistening web with the words SOME PIG written in the centre of the web.  Now here in Mr Zuckerman's  barn there are about one hundred people all wanting to see the miracle.

Fern Arable use to own wilbur when he was a little pig but she sold it to her uncle Mr Zuckerman. Fern said that the spider's name is Charlotte and she is friends  with Wilbur.

Charlotte is thought to be a common house spider.

Mr Zuckerman said “I don’t think I’m having that pig for Christmas”

Word work

For word work this week we had to the words that we given into a sentence.

 This week we have had some words and we had to come up with a word that ment the same and if we couldn't do that we could use the dictionairy.

Early this morning a miracle occurred just outside of town in Mr Zuckerman's barn. Mr Zuckerman said that It was a cold and frosty morning in the barn when his worker Lurvy came into the barn with the slops.He couldn’t help but see a word in the centre of the web he took a closer look and saw that it there was the words SOME PIG he was sure that it wasn’t possible for there to be words in a web so he called Mr Zuckerman. Soon people were coming from all over the place to see the miracle that had occurred in Mr Zuckerman's barn.

“ I couldn’t believe it when I saw it he said it was almost like the spider had super powers” said Lurvy Mr Zuckerman's worker.

“I don’t think I’m having that pig for Christmas” said Mr Zuckerman.

Mr Zuckerman’s also said that it was just thought to be a common house spider.

I learnt how to add in fractions and how to do a Screen castafy.

CROSS COUNTRY

On Wednesday I went to cross country the track was very muddy and part of it was narrow. you had to sprint at the start to be in the narrow bit first. I came 2nd witch means I go to Canterbury to race. The person who bet me in cross country came from Caramea.
