Book Review

Last week I read The Recruit. The author is  Robert Muchamore. The Book is about a child who has no father their mother dies.

After he gets recruited to a agency called cherub, Witch is a child agency to stop people doing bad things. He does basic training and finally got through and get selected for a mission.  He does really well in the mission.  Find out the rest by reading the book.

Prisoner 1087

Prisoner 1087 is about a young Jewish boy who was brought up during World war 2. The  Boy's  name was Yanek. He grew up with his family but got taken away from them and they all got murdered. 

Yanek  fought his way through death camps, beatings, starvation and being over worked. Before his uncle got murdered he said to Yanek "in order  to survive have no name, personalty, feelings and family".

Book review

This week I finished The wonderful story of Henry Sugar. 

I liked This book, It was a good size and very interesting. 

The Book was about an extremely rich man that goes to casinos every night and goes with his rich friends to play rich people games. 

One day he went to play blackjack with his friends, but drew the short straw and had to wait until the next round. So he was bored and needed something to pass some time. He chose to go to the library in the house. He looked through the library and only saw boring books until his eyes were caught on a thin book poking out. He read some of the book and resized it was a magician yogi book that talked about a guy that could read playing cards without looking and could see with not just his eyes but his hands and other parts of his body. He fingered out that would be extremely helpful for all the card games he plays and stole the book. 

There was one problem though, It would take years to practice this task and would require lots of effort being a yogi unless you were very special. Although Henry was very concentrated on having this talent and practised multiple times a day. 

See what happens to Henry in this good book by reading it.

Epic Voyages

Epic voyages is a big book with some sailing and some other stories and expeditions in it. Like s the adventure of Sir Ernest Shackleton. It is a very interesting read, It gives you so much information about the adventure. The one I read was Ernest Shackleton's expedition. Ernest shackleton and his crew of about 28 men set of on the 1 of august 1914. They soon found out that they had rough conditions a head. one of the first big problems they came to was a big lot of thick ice. They got stuck in the Ice and basically started to live out on the Ice and they started to make kennels for the dogs out of Ice. They soon started do drift away from where they wanted to go with the flow of the Ice. They soon had to go in little boats so that they used to get out of the flow of the Ice. They were close to dead several times because of pieces of Ice that was bigger than houses. 

Wonder

Wonder is a book that is written by R.J Palacio. It is about a boy named August that is facially deformed. August has been home schooled all his life because his parents thought his appearance was too much for other people and they might also be cruel to August. But they finally decide to send him to middle school when he is about 11. The principal (Mr Tushman) organizes a few people to help August get use to his new school.  Most of them struggle to adjust to August's face, but some get used to it and become his friend.  The purpose of this book is to show that you shouldn't judge a boy by what he looks like. 

The big wish

The Big Wish was an exciting book and easy to read.

The book is about a boy who's family were pretty poor and weren't very happy. The boy wished upon a shooting star. With that wish, wished for a million wishes. At the beginning, he wished for things for himself, his family and friends. He got bored. Then he started wishing for the world to be a better place. This got started to get weird.

I wouldn't have used my wishes the same way as he did. I would wish for things like being a professional rugby player.

I quite enjoyed it but hoped it was going to be funnier.
